In this limited edition fine art print we are able to witness the exhilaration and drama of the early stages of a race, as the settling field approaches the viewer in a wall of motion, like a tidal wave of galloping muscle and excitement.
Evening Thunder is an embodiment of the unique relationship between the horse and its natural surroundings. Brett maintains that the horse is the only creature that actually adds to the beauty of the landscape. In this equestrian art print we are treated to the spectacle of a rich and diversely coloured field of horses and jockeys, set against the lush greens of a well watered landscape in the heart of an overcast English summer.
Brett says:
“The grey horse heading the field helps to create the balance required to ensure that the rails do not overpower the eye in this composition. The jockey's pale blue silks perform a similar function, leading the viewer straight into the centre of the action. Placing all of these features ahead of a leaden sky highlights the drama of the spectacle and embodies, for me anyway, what is so appealing about racing: the exhilaration of seeing these beautiful, athletic animals performing in the manner that they enjoy most”.
This fine art limited edition Giclee print makes a powerful statement on any wall and is equally at home in a modern or classical interior. It is lovingly produced both on 390gsm stretched canvas and 270gsm archival paper.
